Earlier this month, Instax invited me to teach a bunch of avid crafters Christmas crafts at SM Mall of Asia. It was a bit daunting–standing in the middle of the largest mall in Asia–talking about memories and how to share them through crafts. I taught two different crafts at the workshop that afternoon. Crazy me got inspired by Santa Claus and his belt. Here’s my Santa-inspired take on gift tags, to make your gift-wrapping a bit more personalized!
At the last Instax and Crafts event, I taught not just one craft, but two! My craft session started out with the Instax Gift Tags craft, which then served as a great starting point for a simple yet fun instax christmas ornament tutorial. Read on and try this simple trick to turn your instax prints into personalized Christmas Ornaments!
Last month, my friends at Instax Philippines invited me to teach nearly a hundred instax craft enthusiasts at the Instax & Crafts event at SM Megamall. With the Christmas season starting early here in the Philippines, they asked if I could come up with something festive. Click through to learn how to use Instax prints for your gift tags.

Last month, I partnered with Instax once again to spend an hour or so crafting with fellow instax lovers at the SM Stationery Art Fest event at SM The Block. My notebook addiction was at peak, so making instax pocket notebooks was top of mind. To learn how to make your own, read on!

Earlier this month, Bea Binene dropped by the HQ to learn a little bit more about I Try DIY’s Weaving Workshop. She insisted she wasn’t crafty, but I stood my ground and told her she could do it. In no time, she was on a roll making her piece, not wanting to leave until she was done!
The title of this post is a little misleading. It’s not really Mikko Tries Weaving, it’s more like Mikko tried again and got totally obsessed with it this time around. I’ve always said that painting and calligraphy weren’t kind to me. Thread, on the other hand, I’m definitely more friendly with. Here are a few of my favorite pieces. I’d love to share my love for weaving with you guys. Head on over to my WORKSHOPS page to check what’s scheduled so far. I also do private workshops for groups of at least 4 people. I can’t wait to weave with all of you soon!
