Earlier this month, Instax invited me to teach a bunch of avid crafters Christmas crafts at SM Mall of Asia. It was a bit daunting–standing in the middle of the largest mall in Asia–talking about memories and how to share them through crafts. I taught two different crafts at the workshop that afternoon. I’ve been itching for a platform to talk about the risk and rewards of putting your work out there. When Alessa asked if I’d be willing to participate at this year’s Design Week Philippines, I was both eager and anxious to talk about my experiences.

At the last 10A Alabama Crafts Fair, I finally debuted my new Pressed Flower pieces. And as if everything were planned, it was the first event that Mom got to help me with this bazaar season. She is the whole reason I got into the craft or artform anyways. Most the flowers I used for the pieces were pressed by her over a decade ago. It felt like everything coming full circle.
