You’ve probably noticed by now that I’m all about triangle origami. I’ve got a Triangle Origami Box tutorial, and a Triangle Origami Bowl one too. This time around, I’m sharing a really quick origami triangle tutorial for folding your letters to friends. Read on to learn how!
Like most letters you write friends while in class, you’ll start out with a rectangular sheet of paper. This particular sheet of scrapbook paper is from the DCWV Girlhood stack.
Off to the folding. To startmake a diagonal fold, lining up the short edge along the long edge.
Take the corner, and fold it over, forming that triangle shape.
You should end up with a small flap on the bottom. You’ll need this flap to lock the origami triangle folds in place. Take one corner, and fold upward toward the triangle.
Repeat with the other corner.
Pop open the triangle, and you’ll find a small pocket.
Tuck the flap into the pocket. This is the last fold you need to make to keep your origami triangle secure.
Cute right? Tag @mikkomix or @itrydiy on instagram when you post your own projects. I’d love to see what you make. Happy crafting!
