I remember when I used to give my friends Valentine’s Day cards or goodies, even if I wasn’t all for the day of hearts. I used it as an excuse to give my closest buds gifts. As always, it was more the thrill of packing the goodies up rather than the gifts themselves. For the the day of everything red, here’s a cute way of packing up a batch of home baked cookies! All you need are brown paper bags, cardstock, and a craft punch!
Let’s try and dress up some basic brown paper bags!
I used Martha Stewart’s Lace Heart punch ( I Try DIY Shop | Amazon ) to line the top of the paper bag with adorable hearts.
I took some pink and red cardstock sheets, and measured them against the paper bag’s width.
I cut it so they were the same size.
With the same puncher, I lined the cardstock with the same beautiful hearts.
So, the bag is still employ now, but here’s what you do after you fill it with some cookies or muffins. Place the cardstock about two inches from the top of the bag.
Fold the opt of the paper bag over, and staple!
If you’re want to add a special touch, color your staples red with a Sharpie before stapling!
All done! You can definitely try with different punchers, depending on the occasion. The possibilities are endless.
