Sorry the site has been quiet with the tutorials. It seems like I went through a holiday lull, and I wasn’t able to get back into the groove just yet. Here’s to hoping things get back to normal. Let’s start things up with a simple Valentine-themed tutorial everyone’s bound to love. Let’s try and stitch up some gift tags.
Pretty much, all you need are gift tags, needle and red thread.
Doodle a heart on any scrap sheet of paper.
Carefully cut out the heart.
Place the heart on a diagonal on top of the gift tag. It’s going to serve as your guide.
With a large needle, start punching evenly spaced holes along the edge of the heart cutout.
Choose the perfect red-colored embroidery floss, and thread through the same needle you used earlier.
Do a simple running stitch up and down through the holes you had punched. Make sure to hide the knot on the wrong side of the gift tag.
Hide the finishing knot on the wrong side, too. All done!
Such an easy thread craft for gift wrapping! You can also stitch your loved ones’ name!
