I was recently asked to make some gift tags for a geometric and neon wedding. It was such a fun and colorful craft project, so I wanted to share the how-to with all of you!
You can start with pre-made gift tags like these, or make your own from scratch. All you need are some sheets of cardstock, scissors or a cutter and a puncher!
To make the triangle shapes, I started with a basic eraser.
With a craft knife, I cut a rectangular chunk.
Then, I carefully sliced it into what I needed.
It’s a slice of pizza! Haha.
Next step? I stamped away!
I used three different colors of my favorite Neon Ink Stamp Pads and stamped on the tag randomly. Yes, don’t think too hard!
The circles were a little easier to make. I started with a blank tag.
I got a scrap piece of paper and lay it over the center of the gift tag.
I taped it down so it wouldn’t move.
Then I grabbed a couple #1 pencils. Well, okay. They don’t have to be #1. Any pencil topped with an eraser will work just fine.
Just like with the triangle stamps, I took out a few other colors of my Neon Ink Stamp Pads and stamped away.
Make sure to stamp along the edges of your strip of paper.
When you’re done, you’ll be left with a clean space for writing.
Just L♥VE!
I did a little “fake” calligraphy to write on the tag. Yes, absolute l♥ve!
