Last month, we held another workshop for my latest favorite craft. I spent an afternoon with a few newbie and seasoned crafters, learning the ins and outs of pressed flowers or botanical pressing.
Epic Coffee Roastery was the host of the last workshop. It’s definitely a favorite spot, not only for the coffee, cakes and food but also for the ambiance and shared mission!
I reused my paper flowers and leaves to spruce up the craft area.
Each participant received a pressed flower starter kit.
That included a mini-zine on pressed flowers that my Mom and I put together specifically for the workshop participants.
I brought an assortment of flowers for the participants to practice on.
After going through the basics of pressing, I guided everyone as they dove right in and started pressing their first collection.
While they worked on the flowers and foliage, Epic worked on everyone’s afternoon snacks.
They were kind enough to provide us with perfect pairings of cake and coffee. They were absolutely delish!
This time around, we did something different for the framed pieces. I wrote a few of my favorite book quotes, and had everyone draw one from a bowl. Their finished piece had to somehow relate to the quote.
And my did they try! The pieces turned out really, really well! I loved each and every interpretation!
These girls were a pleasure to craft with. So much talent! 🙂
We’ll be holding another workshop, this time in Antipolo!
