I’ve been lucky enough to walk the streets of Hong Kong many times this year. With the help of friends, Google and sheer luck, I’ve managed to round up a list of must-visit places for Arts & Crafts supplies in the city. Here’s a quick Arts and Crafts Supplies Guide: Where to buy in Hong Kong.
It’s definitely difficult not to fall in love with Japan. This year, I headed over to Osaka again for a two-week work & play adventure. Last year, I was still finding and learning my way around the city, so my search for craft supplies was quite limited. This year, I checked out new places and discovered that there was so much I was missing. Since there’s been this great Japan invasion this year, I thought I’d share with you fellow crafter a few of my favorite spots. Here’s quick Arts and Crafts Supplies Guide: Where to buy in Osaka.
I spent the Valentine’s Day weekend in Hong Kong with a couple of my highschool girls. We didn’t have a set itinerary. We just wanted to walk around, eat good food, scout for art supplies, take lots of photos and enjoy the cool weather. We accomplished everything! Here are some snapshots from our trip. Oh, and if you scroll down you can watch the video diary we made. π
For our first full weekend in Japan, we decided to get The Amazing Osaka Pass that not only covered select tourist spots but also let the use of the subway. Here are a few photos from the first day we used the pass. Jac, Marie and I have been feeling like an Amazing Race team, so it was only apt that we popped by a few actual Amazing Race pitstops!
Whenever I travel, I always remind myself to look down when I travel. By that, I mean to notice the differences and intricacies of how tiles are placed, pathways are paved and walkways are painted. I know that “feet shots” are many a million, but after all these years, I still can’t resist taking a few shots when I’m out and about. Here are a few of my favorites from my trip to Japan!
Last month, Anvaya Cove invited I Try DIY to one of their open house events. It was my birthday weekend, so I was a bit hesitant to go. When I managed to book a room for that Saturday night, I knew I had to go! I brought along a few of my crafts cousins/friends to help me out with the crafts table and to spend the special weekend with me!

When the opportunity to visit Osaka, Japan for two weeks came up, I immediately cleared my schedule for it. Although the purpose of the trip was not entirely leisure, we made sure to maximize the visit. We were out most evenings and weekends. Japan was never on the top of my list of places to visit, but these past two weeks have definitely changed my mind.
