When I got back to crafting a few years ago, the first big project I took on was The Friendship Bracelet Book. When I designed and made all those thirty or so bracelets, I went straight to DMC Philippines for my thread. I had remembered stealing the same ones from my Mom’s cross stitch thread stash and used them to make my bracelets instead.
What better way to welcome the new year, than by being featured on one of my go-to craft sites!

I’ve been making several fonts in the last couple years, and have recently started sharing them. I’ve gotten commercial license requests here and there, but this particular request stopped me in my tracks. Someone wanted to use one of my fonts for a movie trailer and poster? Seriously?
You might not believe it, but Teacher Emma was my preschool teacher. She hasn’t changed one bit. She’s still the same gentle, caring and supportive teacher from, yes, 25 years ago. About a decade after being my teacher, we found her back in my family’s life when my brother, Milo, ended up going to the preschool (The Little Farm House) she later opened. My friend Ninna and I even took up Kumon when they started offering it at their school.
At the last 10A Alabama Crafts Fair, I finally debuted my new Pressed Flower pieces. And as if everything were planned, it was the first event that Mom got to help me with this bazaar season. She is the whole reason I got into the craft or artform anyways. Most the flowers I used for the pieces were pressed by her over a decade ago. It felt like everything coming full circle.

Earlier this month, Tomato invited me to attend their Swap Watch and Swap DIY event. Mansy and I attended the event together. They introduced us to their line of swap watches. We got to design our own watch faces, make loom band straps and, of course, do a little shopping.
