Decorate your Notebook with Paper Stitching

Two of my most favorite materials to use are paper and thread. Here’s one way I’ve managed to put the two together. Still continuing with the idea of decorating my own DIY Notebooks, I thought this would be a fun style to play around with.

I’m really loving the We R Memory Keepers Sew Easy Kit! I mean, I’ve manually punched holes before, but this just makes punching easier and more uniform. Love. You just might notice that I’ve bought enough puncher heads, that I now have duplicates!

Thread automatically makes me think of friendship bracelets, so a chevron pattern came to mind right away. I used a basic triple-punch pattern along the edge of my notebook. I chose three skeins of DMC thread.

Then, one color at a time, I started stitching my V’s.

I didn’t want to leave any punched holes without thread, so I stitched knots in its place.

It really didn’t take me long to finish the project. Why don’t you try it, too?

If plain notebooks bore you, then here’s a way out!
