For the past couple months, Mansy and I have been working hard on a new project. We’ve turned our love for documenting memories into a fun new endeavor called Kimidori Project! Our notebooks are available exclusively (for now) at the Hey Kessy shop, Urban Turf, UP Town Center in QC. If you’re a fan of Midori Traveler’s Notebooks, then this quick DIY is perfect for you.
For Valentine’s day, I made a tutorial for these Triangle Origami Bowls. Now that it’s Halloween, candy containers were top of mind. I thought I’d give this origami tutorial another shot. You can read back to the step-by-step tutorial if you prefer to see photos of each step. I’ve also been asked to make a video tutorial for it. To learn how to make origami bowls, click through now!
Last week, I headed over to Pipino Vegetarian to shoot some quick tutorials for GMA’s Good News’ DIY segment. (I shot a quick weaving feature with them earlier this year too!) I taught four quick crafts that can be done using string, yarn or rope you may have lying around your house. Shoot day was great! I was able to craft with a few of my favorite things: instax prints and paracord. And, I was able to down some of my favorite vegetarian treats between takes. Click through to watch the video!
At last month’s #InstaxAndCrafts event, I shared a slew fun instax print crafts with a ton of fellow instax fanatics. I taught the couple hundred guests how to make fun pullout and pop-up greeting cards, but promised to share a whole lot more here on the site. So here’s the first of the bunch!

One of my go-to ways of wrapping small presents if by making these adorable pillow boxes. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a huge fan of We R Memory Keeper’s Pillow Box Punch Board, but still go back to the DIY method for custom sizing. You can read back to the step-by-step tutorial I wrote back when the blog was still new. I’ve also been asked to make a video tutorial for it, so here you go!
I remember trying this simple face towel trick as a kid! Nothing’s cuter than a fuzzy bunny carrying around some colorful easter eggs, right?
