Like I’ve said many times before, I can’t draw to save my life. So, at the last Craft Pop-Up, I tried to flex a new craft muscle.
As I was digging through old photos, I found more of Mom’s creations. So creative! Gotta level up with my own stuff.
Two more days until the first Art of Pressed Flowers workshop. Can’t wait!
I’ve been living in my current condo for over a year now. I’ve moved so many times in my life. I’ve had 12 addresses in my lifetime! I’ve never really effort to make any place I live in a home. As long as I had a bed and a microwave, I was all good to go.
My fambam was over for the holidays. This time, my Dad wanted to turn the condo into a home. By that, he meant replacing furniture, installing light fixtures, and adding decoration.
I captured some of the changes on instagram. How do you think we did?

Framed pressed flowers and tinted bottles, I made myself!
Realization: I have a love affair with color.
I love to have anything that will satisfy my hunger for color. The ability to combine the perfect hues or shades sparks creativity even more. If I love something, I end up buying it in many (or all available) colors.
A lesson to most of you: Use what you buy. “Sayang!” is not an excuse to hoard and just store! Make!
I can’t draw, even if my life depended on it. Save for a few A-for-Effort drawings on the game Draw Something, my skills rival those of a five-year-old. In an effort to push myself and try out new things, I decided to attempt making a one-pager manual for a basic paracord bracelet design.
So, I sketched a few things while making an actual bracelet.
Tweaked the colors to my liking, and added instructions.
I even went so far as using one of my own fonts!
Here’s what I came up with! A quick guide to making the cobra stitch with paracord. I’ll be adding this with every paracord purchase from the store!
Oh, and pin away!
Fresh from my resignation back in April, I joined Alessa‘s Crafty Field Trip. The field trip schedule consisted of woodwork and pottery, but my crafty hands were only eager to take a stab at some clay.
We went to Cornerstone Pottery Farm in Silang, Cavite.
Beautiful colors and dainty cups.
Inspiration was everywhere!
I had DIY on the mind.
Can you tell?
I was happiest when I tried out the wheel. Can you see how genuine that smile was?
I finally got my finished items. I actually squealed when I unwrapped everything.
I made this bowl. I. Actually. Made. It.
Nothing beats the thrill of making and creating.
As is the thrust of this site, I challenge all of you to MAKE and CREATE as well!
I recently had a sudden urge to make new friendship bracelet patterns. You can view all my patterns up on BraceletBook.com! Here are some samples:
One of my recent craft supply purchases were spools of wire that came in such adorable colors–think old rose, turquoise and burnt sienna.
