For the past couple months, Mansy and I have been working hard on a new project. We’ve turned our love for documenting memories into a fun new endeavor called Kimidori Project! Our notebooks are available exclusively (for now) at the Hey Kessy shop, Urban Turf, UP Town Center in QC. If you’re a fan of Midori Traveler’s Notebooks, then this quick DIY is perfect for you.
I really really loved my mint green sandals from Carmelletes Shoes, so I asked my good friend Zarah if I could snag a sheet of the leatherette for this. Here it is! I’m in love. I happened upon these beautiful two-toned elastic cords to go with the bright colored leatherette. I think I’ll be making tons of these planner leather covers.
Check out this quick video of how I made my own DIY Planner Leather Cover. Enjoy!
Tag @mikkomix or @itrydiy when you post your final projects on instagram. I’d love to see your work! Happy crafting!

Where can the leatherette be purchased at? What size elastic cord did you use?

I suppose it depends where you’re from? This will also work with real leather. I sourced my leather/pleather from a local market. The elastic cord size is totally up to you! I have them in different sizes, thickness and elasticity. That’s what I love about this DIY project. You can totally customize it however way you want, with whatever materials you are able to grab!
