I Try DIY

I’m that type of girl who would prefer an unconventional bouquet over flowers. I never had a green thumb, so I’d feel really bad when they die. Balloon bouquet. Fruit bouquet. Pencil bouquet. Until recently, I really had no appreciation for flowers. So, if you’re anything like me, here’s one bouquet that would certainly brighten up a room and is sure to last for weeks, months or longer.

A fun mini pinwheel bouquet!

You’ll need a variety of cardstock. I chose two variations of mint green, two variations of blush pink, and a standard eggshell.

I cut 2.5-inch squares.

I drew diagonal lines, marked the center, and made tiny x-marks

on the bottom right corner of each triangular section.

I punched a hole through the center, and on each x-mark.

From each corner, I cut about an inch along the diagonal lines.

I bought these round fasteners.
I remember using them when we made our own clocks in gradeschool.

Fold each punched corner towards the center.

Pin down all corners using the round fastener.

I cut wire about 2 feet in length, and fold it in half.

I then twisted the wire, making sure to leave a loop up top.

Secure the pinwheel onto the wire using the loop to hold it in place.

Make the pinwheel stems in different lengths, to fill the vase much better.

Put it on display, and give your visitors something to talk about!
