Have you seen BAYO’s latest window display? The moment I saw it, I knew I had to have it. By it, I’m referring to the pinwheel rosette hangings, and not the clothes on the mannequins. Yes, that would be a first for me.
I scraped around my condo for whatever paper I had. With a few pieces of blue art paper and yellow note pad sheets, I initially came up with this.
So how is it made? You will need a few sheets of paper, tape and string.
Fold each sheet first in half, then in fourths, then in eighths. Make the creases in alternating directions. It will start looking like an accordion. Depending on the size and type of paper, you may need 2-4 sheets per pinwheel.
Gather the sheets of paper together. With your string, tie the sheets together tightly in the center.
Once tied, tape the paper edges together. Once all edges are taped off, the sheets naturally loosen up and shape into a pinwheel.
You can then tape, tack, pin or hang your rosette pinwheels to your heart’s content!
Tag @mikkomix or @itrydiy when you post your final projects on instagram. I’d love to see your work! Happy crafting!

It is a beautiful design piece for the walls. It adds much pigments to a boring view.
